POSITION PURPOSE:Briefly summarize the requirements for this Job/Position |
This position is responsible for the timely and effective written planning of all mechanical work in the process area. The planner will work closely with production and stores and assist supervisors in ensuring that associated timetables, efficiencies, and safety objectives are achieved.

- Work with maintenance scheduler to determine priorities and needs. Make sure proper priority is given to safety work orders as it relates to planned maintenance activities.
- Field walk jobs to develop scope, job plan, estimate labor and procure materials needed.
- Inputs job plan information into SAP.
- Receives and stages materials for appropriate jobs planned. Work with Maintenance Scheduler to build daily/weekly maintenance schedules. Each morning review newly submitted work notifications. Communicate and assist Maintenance Scheduler in scheduling or executing unplanned work, as emergency issues arise.
- Schedules contractors, as necessary, to fill in gaps and manage backlog work. Review backlog regularly to help set priorities. Ensure work orders have been completed. Determine work to be performed by contractors.
- Assist as needed in generation of/and maintaining maintenance metrics. Conduct interactive planning and shutdown coordination/management, as required.
- Attend all required safety meetings and complete necessary safety training. Work with all maintenance personnel to promote and enhance safety culture.
- Responsible for maintaining kitting area.

- 45% SAP CMMS Data Population (BOM, Job Plans, PM, PDM and Frequencies)
- 10% Maint Dept Initiatives (Safety Meetings, Craft Training and Certification, Incident Action Items Resolution, etc.)
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: State the minimum type and level of training and/or formal education and experience required to do your job. |
Education: Minimum High School
Related Experience: Five years maintenance experience in a chemical/manufacturing facility
Special Training or Competencies: CMMS programs, SAP PM, mechanical equipment, rotating equipment, etc.
