Lipari Foods has an opening for a Transportation Supervisor
This position will provide a first point of contact for drivers based out of this specific region. KEY RESPONSIBLITES:
Lipari Foods is a regional full-line deli, bakery, packaging, and grocery distributor, headquartered in Warren, MI. We are a premier store distributor, delivering 37,000 food and packaging products to 32 states and 14,000 retail accounts. We operate several manufacturing facilities from a USDA fresh food plant to facilities specializing in jar goods, cheese and confections. We are in your communities providing food to your stores and feeding your families and neighbors.

KEY RESPONSIBLITES:
- Helping drivers with day to day issues
- Conducting weekly meetings with drivers to address issues, questions, & concerns
- Aiding in the recruiting / hiring process
- Covering routes / shuttles when needed due to call offs or openings
- Accurately logging PO’s, call offs, and pay issues
- Navigate and handle any customer issues that might arise
- Oversee equipment maintenance, appearance, and cleanliness
- Communicate with 3rd party vendors to ensure timeliness of repairs and maintenance

Job Requirements:
- 1 year & 50,000 verifiable miles driving a tractor trailer
- CDL Class A driver’s license 1 year of experience in a management or supervisory role
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- Routing experience or extensive knowledge there of
