The Fleet Insurance Claims Analyst, reporting to the Corporate Fleet Safety and Compliance Manager, administers and coordinates all aspects of Auto liability-related insurance claims and inquiries for Lipari Foods’ fleet of tractors, trailers, and corporate vehicles. This role ensures compliance with insurance policies, supports claims management, and collaborates with internal teams and external insurance providers to minimize risk and financial exposure. The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge of claims management to independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve assigned claims (in particular situations) to achieve appropriate outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the reporting, investigation, and resolution of Auto Liability claims, including accidents, property damage, and cargo loss.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all Auto Liability claims by all employees and management to the appropriate vendor or state agency.
- Manage relationships among various Auto Liability service vendors, brokers, and Lipari Foods to ensure proper handling of all incidents and adherence to client service instructions.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements for fleet operations, contracts, and regulatory obligations.
- Work closely with drivers, fleet managers, and third-party adjusters to gather necessary documentation and evidence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for various outside service providers to ensure resolution and updating of outstanding bills, documentation gathering, and information sharing.
- Monitor claim status and ensure timely resolution while minimizing financial impact.
- Escalate high-impact claims and violations of company policies to leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of claims, policies, and insurance-related correspondence.
- Prepare reports and analyses on claim trends, costs, and risk exposure for leadership review.
- Assist or participate in insurance audits, claims reviews, policy renewals, and certificate of insurance management.
Qualifications & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree in Business, risk management, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in transportation insurance, claims management, or fleet risk management.
- Knowledge of trucking industry regulations (DOT/FMCSA) and commercial fleet insurance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and efficient data entry and recordkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and insurance claims software.
