What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Lipari Foods?
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the flow of future and current inbound domestic, fleet and third-party carriers, and backhaul freight. This position will contribute to generating an increase in backhaul revenue through vendor and category manager due diligence. Also, they will support the Import Logistics Manager on domestic carrier moves.

Responsibilities
- Manage TMS classifications of the TMS-200 & 300 systems. (Including)
- Oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP's)
- Utilize Load Boards to fin and book freight lanes/drivers
- All inbound freight from Lipari backhauls
- All 3rd party carrier bookings for vendor pick ups
- Deliveries to the Lipari warehouse
- Determining and monitoring the Lipari fleet's ability for backhaul capacity
- Verifying and validating freight allowances against 3rd party rates
- Managing all pick-up locations within our system
- Establishing working relationships with Category Management to ensure freight costs and costs of delivery accurately reflect each other.
- Scheduling of 3rd party, on time/as needed product from vendors, booked by Lipari buyers
- High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor Degree in related field preferred
- At least 3 years of working experience in the Logistics industry; preferably with extensive backhaul experience
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.
- Must have strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Must have the ability to learn/grow quickly and advance
- Proven ability to work independently
- Needs to have some knowledge of ERP Systems (AS400)
