Overview:
The position is a business development role for our freight brokerage service focusing on acquiring new customers and further growing current customers. The role will also contribute to developing and executing sales strategies for the company. This position will be supported by a network of brokerage operations to bring value to these customers.
Responsibilities:
Obtain and develop base of customers that drives profitability for company and individual
Represent company with upmost integrity and honesty in the industry
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to effectively price and service customers
Obtaining bid opportunities that are converted into new customers
Lead sales efforts via digital platforms, cold calling, and networking relationships
Identifying services and pricing that meet customer needs to make business objectives
Maintaining solid understanding of current market conditions and business trends
Driving top line revenue to ensure bottom line profits
Participate in regular sales meetings and work with management on goals and forecasting
Develop and coordinate sales materials.
Tracking sales activities, analyzing data, and preparing reports to monitor performance against sales targets
Minimum Requirements:
Reliable, confident, energetic, and willing to learn each day
Ability to work with multiple teams internal to Lipman Logistics and Lipman Family Farms
Excellent interpersonal skills building rapport, establishing trust, and creating a positive customer experience
Proficient computer skills using web-based tools, along with internal data entry system
Strong in time management and organizational skills, and able to handle multiple tasks at a time
Preferences:
Previous role in sales or business development related position within freight brokerage industry
2-5 years’ experience in Logistics/Transportation field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
