Senior Accountant

This is an opportunity to be an integral part of the Accounting Team at Lipman Family Farms, responsible for providing key decision support to executive leadership in a fast growing, nation-wide fresh produce company. This role provides vital financial performance information and analysis to Sr. Management and ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. • Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 5 years proven success in a similar role
• Leadership / supervisory experience in accounting
• Proclivity for attention to detail, organization and follow through
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical
• Advanced computer skills; particularly Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Solid business acumen
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Experience in agriculture or manufacturing industries a plus
• Experience with IBM Cognos TM1 or Microsoft Power BI a plus
• Essential Duties and Requirements :
• Lead 1 to 2 staff accountants
• Preparation, consolidation, and analysis of financial statements
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations with analysis and explanations
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries
• Review journal entries to ensure accuracy
• Communicate with company stakeholders regarding financial questions and research
• Develop procedures and process improvements
• Participate in year-end external financial statement audit
• Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and reporting structure in company ERP and reporting system
• Review and research intercompany transactions for proper elimination
• Ad hoc projects as assigned
