This is an opportunity to be an integral part of the Accounting Team at Lipman Family Farms, responsible for providing key decision support to executive leadership in a fast growing, nation-wide fresh produce company. This role provides vital financial performance information and analysis to Sr. Management and ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. - Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5 years proven success in a similar role
- Leadership / supervisory experience in accounting
- Proclivity for attention to detail, organization and follow through
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical
- Advanced computer skills; particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Solid business acumen
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Experience in agriculture or manufacturing industries a plus
- Experience with IBM Cognos TM1 or Microsoft Power BI a plus
- Essential Duties and Requirements :
- Lead 1 to 2 staff accountants
- Preparation, consolidation, and analysis of financial statements
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations with analysis and explanations
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Review journal entries to ensure accuracy
- Communicate with company stakeholders regarding financial questions and research
- Develop procedures and process improvements
- Participate in year-end external financial statement audit
- Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and reporting structure in company ERP and reporting system
- Review and research intercompany transactions for proper elimination
