This is an opportunity to be an integral part of the Accounting Team at Lipman Family Farms, responsible for providing key decision support to executive leadership in a fast growing, nation-wide fresh produce company. This role provides vital financial performance information and analysis to Sr. Management and ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting
5 years proven success in a similar role
Leadership / supervisory experience in accounting
Proclivity for attention to detail, organization and follow through
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical
Advanced computer skills; particularly Microsoft Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Solid business acumen
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Experience in agriculture or manufacturing industries a plus
Experience with IBM Cognos TM1 or Microsoft Power BI a plus
Essential Duties and Requirements :
Lead 1 to 2 staff accountants
Preparation, consolidation, and analysis of financial statements
Prepare monthly account reconciliations with analysis and explanations
Prepare and post month-end journal entries
Review journal entries to ensure accuracy
Communicate with company stakeholders regarding financial questions and research
Develop procedures and process improvements
Participate in year-end external financial statement audit
Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and reporting structure in company ERP and reporting system
Review and research intercompany transactions for proper elimination
