Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Monitor and manage project costs and ensure accurate billing, job costing, and contract management.
- Work closely with project managers to track financial performance and ensure proper documentation and compliance with contracts.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare budgeted vs. actual financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and industry-specific regulations.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for company projects and operational costs.
- Implement and streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with a preference for experience in the construction, engineering, or architecture industries.
- Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and contract management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with Quickbooks Online/Desktop, or similar platforms is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
