Plant Operator – Wastewater Facility (Full-Time)
Location: Hueytown, AL

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Weekly Pay | Overtime Available
About the Role
Birmingham Advanced Septic and Sewer, a division of Liquid Environmental Solutions, is seeking an experienced and dependable Plant Operator to support operations at our wastewater treatment facility in Hueytown, AL. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with prior experience in dewatering processes, fluid pumping, or offloading tanker trucks. You’ll work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment helping to protect the environment through sustainable wastewater management.
What You'll Do
- Mix and monitor wastewater treatment chemicals
- Offload tanker trucks and manage incoming materials
- Check tank levels and ensure space for material processing
- Operate and maintain shop and plant equipment
- Perform cleanup and general site maintenance
- Use forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
- Support preventative maintenance and minor electrical tasks
What We’re Looking For
- 1 year of experience in plant operations or pump/equipment handling (preferred)
- Comfortable working in strong odors and outdoor conditions (hot, cold, wet)
- Reliable and organized with strong mechanical aptitude
- Able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Team-oriented and committed to long-term growth
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Forklift or skid steer experience is a plus
