We are FDA-registered, ISO 9001 certified, and USDA Organic compliant, ensuring the highest standards in manufacturing. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Lab Assistant (Batchmaker) to join our team and support our production and R&D operations.
Position Overview
The Lab Assistant will be responsible for accurately preparing formulations according to standardized batch records and SOPs. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Weigh and measure raw materials according to batch formulations.
- Blend, mix, and compound ingredients to produce high-quality products.
- Follow strict protocols for batch processing, including documentation and compliance with FDA, ISO 9001, and USDA Organic requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and production areas.
- Calibrate and operate mixing and measuring equipment.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure batches meet specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting batch inconsistencies and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate batch records and log production data.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of chemicals.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred).
- Experience in a manufacturing, lab, or batch mixing environment preferred.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions and batch records with precision.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
