About the role : The Sr. Brand Manager, Innovation is responsible for managing and implementing the Liquid I.V. portfolio strategy and innovation pipeline. Reporting to the Innovation Brand Director, this highly creative and organized professional will develop strategic product concepts, positioning, and champion them through the stage gate process all the way to execution. You will manage the 3 – 5-year innovation pipeline and work closely with R&D, Project Management, Sales, and Finance to ensure the products are hitting targets from concept to commercialization.Functions and duties of this role include, but not limited to : Operate as the voice of the consumer, be in touch with trends across marketing channels, the category, culture, sustainability etc. to identify new opportunities and perform ongoing competitive assessment.Inspire the development of our short and long-term innovation pipeline through deep consumer understanding, market knowledge, and integration of cultural and category trends.Partner with consumer insights to design winning product propositions with unique selling points, disruptive formulations, and winning product claims. Partner with R&D to identify formulations that will set Liquid I.V. apart as an industry and category leader in functional hydration. Partner with peer (Brand Manager) to ensure a cohesive innovation pipeline across flavor line extensions, new benefits, and new formats. Lead product development from ideation (size of total market, target audience, learning plan & competitive analysis) through development and launch, including pricing, identifying benefits / key points of differentiation, development of winning product claims, creative & packaging briefs, pitch decks & product launch books.Act as steward of the P&L, accountable to both top & bottom-line results for each project taken through stage gate.Exhibit strong partnership with finance and sales to design ideal pricing architecture that leads to a winning financial structure. Exhibits expertise in cross-functional and departmental team management, proficiency in managing highly complex projects, paired with ability to influence higher-level leadership and strategic direction.Operate as the lead of the cross-functional team for specific project workstreams, providing direction and mobilizing the full team to a successful outcome. Qualifications : Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand marketing, innovation marketing in CPG managing complex large-scale business, product, or marketing projects.4 years of experience in retail data analytics or consumer insights, a plus.2 years of experience managing and developing a team at various levels.Bachelors in related field, MBA preferred.Experience working front-end innovation, blue ocean innovation or innovation design / design thinking.Experience developing pitches & concepts – including size of prize, competitive analysis, and trends.Strong time & project management skills, ability to navigate complexity.Interest and curiosity in disruptive marketing and appetite to push boundaries.Ability to partner cross-functionally and collaborate with creative teams or external innovation partners.Strong communication skills – ability to influence senior leadership and present in front of external stakeholders (e.g. retail buyers).Ability to lead multiple projects at a time and thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.Ability to assess data, consumer insights, story-tell, build recommendations for growth, and influence decision-makers.Experience working with retailers (food, drug, mass, e-commerce).Ability to manage and coach a team to successful results.Experience deconstructing business performance leveraging data analysis (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, etc.).Experience in health & wellness space a plus.Forecasting experience a plus.What We Give : 100% company-paid medical, dental and vision insurance for employees (PPO, HMO and Kaiser options).A 401k plan with company match, short and long-term disability coverage.
