What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Art Director position at Liquified Agency?
The Senior Art Director will report to the Creative Director and is responsible for providing graphic design, as well as ideas and solutions for projects as they pertain to building and growing a memorable and positive impression of our agency and our client’s brands. To be successful as a Art Director, you should have original ideas and have a keen eye for detail with the ability to execute final assets and campaigns. Ultimately, a successful Art Director should lead other designers and be able to create executable concepts, be open to learning more, and create original designs that promote the agency and client visions. In addition, the Art Director is expected to establish brand standards and systems that ensure the original integrity and foundation of a brand.
Responsibilities
- Understand the design idea and concept.
- Pitch unique ideas for both conceptual and design projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules and timelines.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate activities with other industry vendors.
- Manage video production timelines, tasks, storyboards, shot lists, breakdowns, and call sheets .
- Use the best design methods, applications, software and techniques to work on the project.
- Producing sketches, storyboards, art layouts based on creative visions and ideas.
- Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience.
- Take work from concept to final execution within deadline.
- Take on specific tasks to support many projects underway.
- Participate in the hiring and evaluation of graphic designers and production artists.
- Understanding project requirements and ideas, as well as industry standards for printing, production and UX / UI.
- Pitching creative concepts to internal team members.
- Collaborating with the team to launch projects.
- Provide feedback to other designers and take feedback from client input.
- Oversee and manage designers on a daily basis as well as delegate projects accordingly based on skillset and production schedules.
- Create marketing campaign assets, environmental designs, logos, publications, specialty products, email and website designs, among others.
- Develop brand identity standards for clients and main those standards through future assets.
- Design according to brand identity systems and maintain proper use of brand assets.
- Work closely with stakeholders on all jobs and prioritize independently.
- Actively participate in client and team meetings.
- Review artwork prior to final production and release.
- On-going training in the field.
- Participate in working sessions with creative and strategic partners.
- Present creative and creative rationale concerning design.
- Prioritizes work based on project needs, job requirements, etc.
