What are the responsibilities and job description for the Liquor Store lead position at Liquor Junction?
Job Description
Lead would be required to stock shelves and manage back end warehouse with items found in our liquor/ wine department, receive and scan liquor product through our back end inventory system and stock shelves with product in our liquor department.
Primary Functions:
- Provides a high level of prompt and friendly customer service.
- Responsible for receiving, unloading, stocking, filling and rotating merchandise.
- Stocks, rotates, merchandises and faces product according to department procedure.
- Maintains back-stock areas according to department procedure.
- Receives product from our vendor partners and accurately attends to deliveries and invoices.
- Assists with training other staff as needed.
- Has knowledge of liquor/wine items to help give customers direction and suggestions of products located throughout the store.
- Maintains excellent communication with the store management team, liquor merchandising team and front end at all times.
- General housekeeping of the department and in back room.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time, and repetitive posture assumption.
- Repetitive arm and hand movements; manual dexterity to wrap, package and stock product.
- Must be able to lift and carry product weighing up to 60 lbs.; grabbing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull 100 lbs., use a utility cart to move product up to 500 lbs. and a pallet jack to move product weighing up to 1000 lbs.
- Must be able to climb a 3-5 step stool. Requires vision to read directions, use a box cutter and stock shelves.
What We're Looking For:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have experience in liquor sales, service and product highly recommended.
- Reliable and dependable; ability to follow direction.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to perform repetitious activities.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude to interact with customers and employees.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
