Position Overview
The Interpreter is responsible for providing verbal and written translation services between our clients, internal team members and government officials. The Interpreter will interpret conversations and documents, both written and spoken, from one language to another (English-Spanish).
The Interpreter must accurately convey the meaning of the source language to the target language, and vice versa. This position requires a high level of cultural and linguistic competence and will be responsible for providing effective communication services in a variety of settings. This includes, but is not limited to, virtual meetings, phone calls, and in-person appointments.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
· Act as a liaison between our attorney team and clients by accepting inbound phone calls, completing outbound phone calls, and ensuring clients know when and where they need to be for their appointments
· Attend all client appointments that require interpretation between our clients, attorneys and government officials within the region assigned
· Greet and assist clients upon arrival to their appointments
· Support clients and attorneys with document management
· Travel as needed to attend in person appointments that may take place in Lisinski Law Firm offices and/or USCIS field offices
· Provide world class customer service during all client interactions
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Possesses excellent bilingual (English and Spanish) interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to accurately interpret both verbal and written Spanish
· Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
· Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Qualifications
· Bilingual at CEFR C2 level or better in both English and Spanish
· Minimum 3-year interpretation experience preferred but not required
· Willingness to travel with limited advanced notice
