Position Overview
The Translator is responsible for translating various documents provided by the client into English to ensure USCIS requirement prior to the submission of the case. This individual makes sure that all written materials are translated in a matter that maintains the integrity of the original message. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 2pm-11pm EST & Saturday 10am-7pm EST.
Payrate: $6/hr.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
· Complete assigned requests from case management system for translation of documents and upon completion of translation, upload translated documents into client’s assigned folder.
- Follow terminological guidelines and the Standard Operational Procedures when translating documents to ensure consistency when completing requests.
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of translated documents, including legal terminology, dates, names, and any sensitive information
· Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Possesses excellent bilingual (English & Spanish) interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Proven ability to meet deadlines and time management
· Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to prioritize tasks
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Minimum Qualifications
· Bilingual (Spanish and English) C1
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
· Previous legal experience preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent experience required
· Previous experience translating documents preferred
