The Firm is seeking a talented and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team in a full-time office position.
In this fast-paced position, the Associate Attorney will primarily provide support to one of the partners and his clients by drafting contracts for a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, business formation documents, and real estate contracts. The Associate Attorney will also be required to assist with litigation, legal research projects and administrative hearing appearances as requested and will have the opportunity to assist with estate planning and probate matters. Successful candidates must have:
- Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
- Admission to the Tennessee Bar or eligibility upon hire to be admitted to the Tennessee Bar by Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) Score Transfer or Comity.
- Preferably at least one to two full years’ experience in civil litigation and also contract drafting for business transactions.
- Experience in timely tracking billable hours using legal software.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- A strong ability to work independently and to maintain personal motivation and discipline.
- Availability to work flexible hours (including after-office hours and weekends) as needed.
- The ability to meet certain billable hour requirements.
- A team mindset.
The salary range for a full-time position is expected to start at $80,000-$90,000 per year based on experience, with the ability to earn bonus compensation based on production. Benefits include health insurance and 401k retirement options.
