Lithko Contracting, LLC is actively seeking a Regional Preconstruction Lead (RPCL) in the Mountain West region to join our team. The RPCL is responsible for managing and coordinating preconstruction efforts to secure key core projects typically beyond the scope of a single business unit’s capacity. This role develops preconstruction talent, supports the company preconstruction team, and ensures that preconstruction best practices are shared across the region and company. The RPCL is essential for securing regional work while enabling our preconstruction teams to perform efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Pursuits: Meet the region’s need to secure multi-business unit work by aligning regional opportunities with business unit preconstruction and execution capacity. Lead the coordination of job pursuits within the region. Maintain bid log information, tracking and ranking project targets based on probability of success and alignment with business units. Develop and execute proposal workplans for multi-business unit projects, managing estimating, bidding, logistics planning, and overall execution strategy.
- Preconstruction Capacity: Know the competency and capacity of the region’s preconstruction teams and provide support when key core projects are being pursued. Provide data and insights to regional leadership for financial planning and preconstruction forecasting.
- Sharing Expertise: Be the regional preconstruction subject matter expert on innovative concrete technologies and solutions while sharing their own knowledge and expertise across the region and the company. Host regular occasions with Preconstruction Leads to assess market conditions, regional customers, and strategic opportunities. Utilize company Centers of Excellence throughout the preconstruction execution process as needed to inform bid strategies, estimating, and process enhancements.
- Company Preconstruction Support: Collaborate with the company preconstruction team in securing large non-core work within the region. Actively recruit and develop candidates to fill preconstruction roles within business units and the region. Mentor preconstruction talent across the region, focusing on skill development and leadership growth.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- 10 years of progressive experience in Commercial Construction for a large scale Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor.
- Self-perform experience of concrete is required.
- Strong business development background and construction market knowledge is preferred.
- Strong estimating background preferred.
- Seeking someone with a variety of project types with an emphasis on Commercial/Industrial construction.
- General knowledge of construction principles/practices required, with experience on projects over 1 million dollars.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
- Data Center Experience is highly valuable
