Summary of Job Function
The Scheduling Manager holds a crucial role in resource allocation and maintaining the firm's utilization. This role acts as the liaison between team members and Service Line Leaders and is responsible for all aspects of our scheduling function.
Essential Job Duties
- Serves as the primary point of contact for utilization and scheduling within the Firm.
- Develop and implement utilization and scheduling strategies ensuring alignment with firm strategy and growth plan.
- Maintain equitable workloads by monitoring and adjusting schedules to prevent overloading or underutilization of staff.
- Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintains oversight of schedules to effectively utilize staff and support financial plans.
- Adjust schedules and resolve conflicts in response to changes in client needs, staff availability, and project timelines.
- Communicate staffing decisions and changes clearly and effectively to all appropriate parties and facilitate recurring meetings.
- Collect, analyze, and report on scheduling and performance data with a focus on utilization reporting.
- Collaborate with Human Resources team members and leadership to identify training and development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with CCH and Service Line Leaders to design, update and maintain scheduling software, workflow procedures, scheduling processes, and strategies for engagement management.
- Develop and manage the staffing budget to ensure alignment with utilization and revenue goals while supporting the firm's strategic vision and adhering to industry standards.
- Continuously educate all levels of professionals on utilization goals, establish, and uphold accountability measures related to these goals, and ensure ongoing adherence and effectiveness.
- Serve as liaison for all levels of professionals ensuring their professional aspirations are understood and diverse opportunities are presented, while keeping business interests and organizational goals at the forefront.
