The Supply Chain Intern will work on non-engineering projects to support the team’s initiatives and process/product improvements. Assist the team with tasks set out by the manager and continuously learn the technical aspects of the role. Participate in meetings and closely collaborate with team members and other teams in the organization while learning to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to , supplier spend, freight spend, and distribution center performance by using tools like Excel, data
visualization software, and AI to draw insights into data patterns.Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements for projects, processes, or systems. This involves conducting interviews, surveys, and process maps to understand business needs.
Assist in pulling, consolidating, structuring and where possible automating data related tasks associated with current data in SAP and other ERPs.
Assist in the creation of a central repository where clean supplier data can be stored.
Work with procurement contacts within the businesses to collect and validate information such us payment terms, taxonomy etc.
Experience/Skills:
Students in their last year of bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, or graduates looking for requalification who would be eligible to take a full-time role after the internship.
Proactive and eager to learn
Team player with the ability to learn to work independently
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new technology quickly
