We are seeking a dedicated Prior Medical Insurance Benefit/Eligibility Specialist to join our
team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication and
benefits/eligibility administration.
Responsibilities
- Obtain personal and insurance information from potential and existing patients.
- Verify insurance benefits for services to be provided
- Cover front desk during absences and time off.
- Track patients from intake to scheduling.
The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable answering multi-line phone systems, triage calls, resolve issues, and answer insurance plan, referring doctor, and patient questions. They will be able to take detailed messages and redirect / forward calls, as necessary. Our Medical Insurance Benefit/Eligibility Specialist maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines to advance patient care promptly, demonstrate superior customer service skills and the ability to be effective collaborators as well as function at elevated levels independently.
Pay is based on experience. Candidates with the following experience a plus:
- Experience in benefits/eligibility within the past 2 years
- Familiarity with local insurance plans.
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. 8:00-4:30pm or 8:30-5:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Per diem
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
