Little Beginnings Learning Center is seeking passionate, kid-loving individuals to join our Infant/Toddler Room team! If you have a heart for children, enjoy nature-based learning, and are eager to foster growth and discovery, we’d love to meet you!
Position Overview:
As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment that supports all areas of child development.
- Work collaboratively to implement engaging classroom activities and curriculum.
- Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring smooth transitions between activities.
- Guide children in social interactions, language development, and conflict resolution skills.
- Supervise and engage in age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Encourage creative play and nature-based exploration in alignment with our philosophy.
Qualifications:
- Some college coursework in Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field is required.
- At least one year of teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
- CPR, First Aid, and SIDS/Shaken Baby training (or willingness to obtain).
- Understanding of early childhood education principles, including child development, behavior guidance, positive discipline, and redirection techniques.
- A teaching philosophy that aligns with our faith-based and nature-based approach to learning.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills, including email communication and document creation.
- Knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation criteria is a plus but not required.
- Attendance at staff meetings, family events, and center-wide functions is expected.
