Production Manager

Food/Bakery Production Manager Gluten Free Baked Goods Manufacturer

Little Brown Bird Bakery, located in Pennsauken, NJ, is a manufacturer of gluten free baked goods and snacks. We are a start-up company and are currently seeking an experienced Bakery Production Manager.

Essential Duties

• Oversee the company’s production and food quality program.
• Manage and resolve work problems or give assistance to workers to help them problem solve or if need develop an action plan and further train employees as necessary to prevent any future problems.
• Involved in creating and implementing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), SQF, HACCP and food security policies.
• Regularly maintain required daily paperwork and quality functions to meet SQF certification requirements while also reporting to Management throughout the day with daily production levels.
• Involved in creating and developing new products with management team
• Good understanding of FDA and food codes
• Maintain sanitation program as well as train line associates to keep a clean environment through swabbing, record keeping, and data review.
• Keep track of employee hours worked.
• Perform all duties necessary to meet company standards.
• Other tasks as deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as Essential

• Ability to implement plans and manage food safety policies with thorough understanding of SQF, GMP, and HACCP policies.
• Effectively communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
• The ability to comprehend food manufacturing information and execute plans provided to them as well as maintain accurate records and reports to ensure quality control.
• Ability to use MS Office Suite is required
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule required

Job Type: Full Time Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required.

Experience

• Food/Bakery Manufacturing: 3 years preferred.
• Food/Bakery Production Management Experience preferred.
• Leadership Development Training preferred.
