JOB DESCRIPTION
- Bachelor s Degree and at least five (5) years of successful experience in service delivery to persons with DD.
- 2 years of the aforementioned serving in a supervisory capacity.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
SUMMARY
- Directs and manages development, implementation and promotion of LD Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Division
- Hires, schedules, evaluates, and motivates staff and contractors to accomplish goals
- Establishes and updates IDD On-call Procedures as needed and recommends
- Implement DBHDD Policies and Procedures in order to operate programs efficiently and effectively.
- Participates as a member of the Executive Management Team and Participates in LD leadership meetings as requested.
- Works with clients, community representatives, funding sources and other providers to meet contract expectations and ensure high consumer and stakeholder satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the development and implementation of LD Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Division.
- Separates provider and authority functions so that all providers receive fair treatment
- Participates in other LD committee &/or task force meetings as requested.
- Works with clients, community representatives, funding sources, and other providers to meet contract expectations and ensure high consumer and stakeholder satisfaction.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Georgia IDD contract requirements, policies, and operations.
- Ability to Supervsor and lead a team of 6-8 employees
- Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
- Must demonstrate skills in motivating employees .
- Must be able to manage change productively.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Georgia Drivers License and a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal history and driving records checks.
- Must have at least 3 verifiable professional or education reference
