What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Infant Caregiver position at Little Explorers Learning Center Inc?
We are looking for a qualified Lead Infant Teacher
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development or equivalent required.
Must be able to work 4 days of the week. Monday thru Friday 8am til 430 pm. With 1 day off.
A caregiver must have a great love and patience for children.
The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the stages of development.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a careful and creative program suitable for Infants ages birth until transition to toddler room.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, art activities.) to assist in development with children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with materials and caregivers along with other infants.
- Organize art activities, diapering, nap and meal times and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Understanding of the principles of child development and learning through play methods
- Willingness to learn
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as loving categiver
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Certification in child CPR and First Aid needed, will help obtain class for certification
- Early Childhood Education training is needed. 16 hours continued educational training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
