Summary Job Description :
The Statistical Control Clerk for Adoption and KinGap facilitates the adoption process, including applying for birth certificates, coordinating with adoption lawyers, and ensuring petitions are signed and filed. They maintain electronic records, track adoption milestones, and process necessary documents such as home studies and TPR filings. In addition, they handle KinGap case updates, prepare reports for ACS, and file related documents once guardianship is awarded. The role also involves responding to post-adoption inquiries and providing services to adult adoptees and adoptive families
Principle Responsibilities :
Adoption
- Apply for birth certificates from ACS
- Direct communication with adoption lawyers
- Ensures that the adoption petitions are signed, notarized, and sent to the attorney for filing
- Redact records when warranted before sending them out to legal (cases involving lawsuits).
- Process SCRs for adoptive parents
- Prepare packet for home study which consists of :
A copy of the original home study, fingerprints, SCRs & marital documents of adoptive parents.
