Little Flowers Early Learning center is hiring at our Lacey location for a teacher's assistant in our wobbler room. We are looking for people who have a love for children and are dependable. You must be able to clear a background check with DCYF and have a negative TB test done. You would be in a classroom with children from 1 years old until 2 years old.
Summary
As a Childcare Assistant, you will be instrumental in nurturing and supporting the development of young children in a safe and engaging environment. Reporting to the Lead Educator, your core responsibilities will include providing attentive care and facilitating age-appropriate activities. Your premium skills in first aid and experience with toddlers and children with disabilities will enhance the quality of care provided. Additionally, your relevant skills in early childhood education, behavior management, and classroom experience will contribute to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diaper changing, and comforting.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare space, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's progress and any concerns.

Pay: $16.66 - $18.00 per hour
