Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, focusing on their developmental needs and fostering a love for learning. You will work closely with toddlers and young children, guiding them through daily activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe and engaging environment for all students.
- Provide individualized attention to children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Foster positive relationships with children through effective communication and active engagement.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure the health and safety of all children in your care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in classroom management and educating young children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, particularly in toddler care.
- Experience working with students who have disabilities is preferred.
- Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on infant care when necessary.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among children.
- Certification in First Aid is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
