Little Harbor Club, a private family club located on the shores of Lake Michigan, is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to direct our thriving aquatics program during our busy summer season.
Job Summary:
Supervise and keep safe all members, their children, and guests while they enjoy the pool, bathhouses, and surrounding areas. Supervise and direct all aquatics team members, activities, and programming.
Duties and tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Constant supervision of everyone in and around pool.
- Teach and schedule lessons-private or group.
- Set up programs for all ages of swimmers. Recommend any new events that could highlight the member experience.
- Be a team leader and inspirational figure for lifeguards and children alike.
- Open and close pool. Secure all the equipment and ensure the areas are clean.
- Stock, maintain, and transfer towels for daily use.
- Supervise cleaning of the pool and upkeep of all pool equipment and facilities, pool chairs & tables, diving boards, showers, bathhouses, and pool storage areas.
- Make sure all lifesaving equipment is in place and in good working order, recommend replacement when needed.
- Supervise operation of filtration system and health requirements of chlorination and pH acidity with daily testing.
- Create the schedule to ensure the safety of all pool goers.
- Assist with seasonal hiring
Requirements:
- Current lifeguard certificate
- Water Safety Instruction certificate
- Valid CPR certification
- Must have working knowledge of swimming pool operation and maintenance.Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is preferred, but not mandatory.
A percentage of programming and private lessons will be included in compensation.
