Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the overall management and operation of our educational facility. The Assistant Director will work closely with staff, parents, and children to ensure that all programs meet the highest standards of care and education.
Duties
- Assist the Center, as the head director is out of the building. Mangeign staff, Issues durring that time, Parent commuications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in various capacities such as daycare, nannying, or special education settings.
- Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of caregiving practices for infants and toddlers.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and children.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to professional development.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in early childhood education or related fields are preferred.
Education Requierments: an associate degree in child development or early childhood education, or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential (see 89 Ill. Adm. Code 50.720(b) and http://www.ilgateways.com/en/illinois-directorcredential-idc) or 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management.
