Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Teacher to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and fostering a sense of community among campers. Ideal candidates should possess a passion for working with children and have skills in behavior management and childcare.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities.
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games.
- Provide support and guidance to campers in their personal development and social interactions.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers.
- Assist with daily camp operations including check-in/check-out procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment.
- Collaborate with other counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare or working with children is essential; previous camp experience is a plus.
- Skills in behavior management and classroom management are highly valued.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles or special education is beneficial.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- Experience in sports coaching or Christian counseling is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the camp season.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
