Montessori Elementary Lead Guide (grades 1-6)

Little Oak Montessori School is seeking an AMI-trained Guide to take the lead of a well established elementary classroom (grades 1-6), and join our dedicated and supportive staff in the Columbia Gorge for the 2025-26 school year.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• AMI Elementary Diploma & Bachelor’s Degree (preference given to those with a Master’s Degree and Washington State Teaching Certification)
• Strong understanding of Montessori, and the ability to adapt the curriculum to meet the developmental needs and interests of each student.
• Ability to create a peaceful, organized, and engaging learning environment.
• Skilled in setting clear boundaries while fostering self-discipline and responsibility in students.
• Experience managing a classroom with a range of age groups, 6-12.
• Ability to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within a mixed-age classroom.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to clearly communicate
• Strong attention to detail, and ability to maintain an organized learning space
• Ability to maintain detailed observation records
• A commitment to active engagement within our Anti-Bias and Anti-Racist school community
