What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Assistant Teacher position at Little People Big Dreams Learning Center?
We are in search of dynamic and experienced Early Childhood Assistant Teachers for our Toddler and Preschool classes.

Required Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Certificate from Delaware First
- 6 months of experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting.
Job Duties:
- Assist in planning, preparation, and implementation of daily activities (indoor/outdoor) as they relate to the curriculum.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities.
- Instruct children with a compassionate and nurturing method (as directed by Director or Lead Teacher).
- Greet children individually and with warmth and friendliness.
- Help to maintain an environment of warmth, safety, and compassion.
- Be responsible for the health, well-being, and safety of children.
- Review each individual child’s classroom files with regard to their medical and developmental histories as needed
- Interact with parents
- Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other teachers/staff are not available
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events ( during center hours), and parent meetings as requested
- Maintain confidentiality of children and families personal information and center files/information at all times.
- Teachers and assistant teachers work together to support the academic and social development of the children.
- Light toileting assistance as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
