Little Rays Exhibitions is a travelling exhibits company bringing live animal exhibits centred around natural history and conservation to museums and zoos across North America.

You’ll find our exhibits at facilities such as the Vancouver Aquarium, Ripley’s Aquarium, Boston Museum of Science, and Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

We are looking for capable full-time staff to join our travelling team to run daily operations onsite at these exhibits. This includes daily animal care, feeding, enrichment and training of the animals, performing educational programming and presentations, and administrative duties such as overseeing and scheduling a small staff team and ordering consumable products.

Exhibits are located across North America and may run from 3 months in length to over a year. Staff receive fully paid accommodations as part of their compensation package when travelling as a well as significant travel perks.

Syracuse, NY

Denver, CO

Toronto, ON

Hamilton, ON

Potential hires must be able to work in the US, and must be able to commute or relocate to one of the above locations for up to 3 months.

Willingness to work weekends, holidays and evenings is an asset.

Attributes of Successful Candidates:

Must be physically fit, able to stand on their feet all day, climb ladders and lift up to 50lbs

Comfortable actively engaging with the public and public speaking

Passion for the conservation of wildlife and their habitats

Comfortable with handling or learning to handle animals such as snakes and other reptiles, arachnids and feeder insects amongst others.

Detail oriented and observant - quick to notice changes in animal health or behaviour and keep exhibit looking well maintained at all times

Able to be flexible and adaptable - animals often do surprising things!

Able to communicate effectively within a small team and work independently

Compensation

Wage begins at $18/hr and will increase to $19/hr upon the first travelling contract and $20/hr on the second travelling contract. Accommodations during travelling are also provided.
