Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager (PM) to oversee and manage contract performance at Fort Riley, KS. The PM will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively while serving as the primary point of contact for contract-related operations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and execution of the contract to ensure compliance with performance requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the contractor and the Contracting Officer (KO), ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Exercise full authority to act on all contract matters, making decisions that support successful contract execution.
- Provide leadership and direction to contract personnel to maintain high-quality service standards.
- Ensure adherence to contract terms, company policies, and government regulations.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and document contract performance metrics.
- Address operational challenges, implement solutions, and continuously improve efficiency.
- Be present on-site and available during normal duty hours (7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday), excluding Federal holidays or administrative closures.
- Provide name and contact information to the KO for effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience in service contract management.
- Strong knowledge of contract management principles, government regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government personnel, contractors, and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing government contracts, particularly within military installations.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent experience.
Work Environment:
- The PM must be available on-site at Fort Riley, KS, during designated duty hours.
- Some travel and after-hours coordination may be required based on contract needs.
