Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Perform a variety of manual tasks which support the Collection System Maintenance division. Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and tools as assigned by Supervisor and / or Crew Leader.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows instructions of the Crew Leader and / or Supervisor at all times.
- Performs daily inspections and maintenance of all CCTV equipment (cameras, transporters, push reels, etc.)
- Assists Crew Leader in diagnosing and repairing all CCTV equipment as needed.
- Uses pick, shovel, and / or other hand tools according to the requirements of the job at hand.
- Assists Crew Leader in accurately locating and marking sewer related issues for repair.
- Assists the Crew Leader in scheduling work including coordination with homeowners and contractors.
- Assists the Crew Leader in completing daily reports.
- Assists Crew Leader in structuring preventive maintenance cleaning schedules as required.
- Maintains and accounts for all tools, equipment, and fleet used.
- Keeps all work sites neat and orderly.
- Assists in general upkeep of Utility buildings and grounds on a regular basis.
- Maintains a good driving record.
- Follows safety practices and guidelines at all times, including wearing proper personal protective / safety equipment due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, flammable liquids, biological hazards, toxic / flammable compressed gases, and confined spaces.
- Follows established work procedures and practices.
- Undertakes any reasonable request within capabilities that is good for the community and the Utility.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
