As an Assistant Teacher at Little Scholars, you will play a vital role in supporting our lead teachers and creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children. This position is perfect for kind, compassionate, and energetic individuals looking to gain experience in early childhood education. We are currently looking for Childcare Superstars to join our growing team, due to our growth and opening of new locations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Help create a warm, supportive classroom where children feel safe to explore and learn
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning space
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive play and learning activities
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Passion for early childhood education and a growth mindset
- Ability to work in a team and take direction from lead teachers and administrators
- Must be able to pass a background check
