Little Trailblazers is in need of a positive, nurturing and fun-loving toddler teacher to help unleash the potential of our students. Your primary duty will be to supervise the students, maintain a safe and healthy environment, and support children’s emotional and social development, encourage understanding of others, and positive self-concept. The successful applicant should be ready to think creatively, assist with activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices and program philosophy. You should also be able to change diapers and maintain a clean and organized classroom. The teacher should be committed to developing meaningful relationships with students and parents alike. You must have strong communication skills, as you will be expected to interact with colleagues, parents, students and educational authorities. The ideal candidate will be understanding, attentive and caring to student needs and have a passion for the education field.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Strong communication and time management skills
Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
Able to lift 20 – 40 pounds
CPR and First Aid Certified
Negative TB Test
MERIT - Background Check
Food Handler’s Permit
Basic STARS Certification (30 Hours) (Bonus)
Job Duties and Tasks:
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
- Support children’s emotional and social development, encourage understanding of others, and positive self-concepts.
- Think creatively – develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with coworkers and families.
- Assist with activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices and program philosophy.
- Dress children and change diapers.
- Maintain daily open communication with parents.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Sanitize and clean toys, classroom, backyard and restroom.
- Supervise children in classrooms, backyard, playground, and on field trips.'
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
