The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, as well as experience in food preparation and handling. As a Deli Team Member, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality deli products, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items.
- Follow established recipes and guidelines to maintain consistent food quality.
- Assist customers in making deli product selections and provide information about ingredients and dietary considerations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products to maintain freshness and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized deli counter and work area, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
- Monitor and manage deli inventory, restocking items as needed and rotating products to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Uphold food safety standards and follow health department regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including time and attendance guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects up to 30 pounds.
