- Supervise and implement developmentally appropriate activities for the students enrolled in the program.
- Supervise staff in following regulations and rules mandated by the District and the State of Colorado.
- Communicate to Program Director and families regarding events, concerns and issues involving program.
- Assist Director in clerical duties related to program such as maintaining student and staff records, filing records, etc.
- Assist Director in registration of new students in program.
- Coordinate supplemental curricular activities with Program Manager and Activity Leaders.
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for appropriate behavior by students.
- Establish consequences for inappropriate behavior by students.
- Establish and maintain clear expectations with staff for appropriate behavior.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- The assistant program manager must have completed at least one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Two years of college level training in elementary education and/or early childhood education. Six months satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time experience in the care and supervision of four or more children.
- A four-year college degree with a major such as recreation, education, elementary or early childhood education or human services field. Experience in the care and supervision of four ormore children is preferred.
- Six semester hours, nine quarter hours, or forty clock hours of college-level training in course work applicable to school-age children within the first nine months of employment.
- Required to maintain current First Aid/CPR certification during course of employment in this position.
- Three years of verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time experience in the care and supervision of four or more children is required.
- Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsible for assisting the Program Manager in managing and maintaining the childcare program and following the rules and regulations mandated by the District and the State of Colorado. This position is also responsible for supervising Activity Leaders and planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children.

Starting Salary is $23.75 per hour
Hours will be 35 hours per week. Must be able to open and close the program and work split shift. Hours vary.
