Role Objective
Senior Writer, Editorial is primarily responsible for providing written content on LIV Golf digital platforms, contributing to social and broadcast platforms when appropriate, supporting League initiatives and messaging for the Communications team while working closely with the Editorial Director to fulfill content needs and requests.
Responsibilities
- Provide stories on the LIV Golf League competition, including news developments, previews, recaps, and other features to highlight the innovative approach to pro golf.
- Supply stories that inform and educate LIV Golf fans on the unique aspects of the team and individual competitions, including season-long points races, promotion / relegation.
- Produce content that promotes the LIV Golf Fantasy game and other gaming initiatives.
- Write and report from an inside-the-ropes perspective, including Instruction, Equipment and Course information.
- Generate off-week content that will deliver fresh news to LIV Golf fans and spin forward to generate interest in upcoming events.
- Monitor and provide coverage of LIV Golf players and teams at League events, as well as appearances in International Series events, Promotion event and other high-profile tournaments, including Majors and Team Competitions.
- Build connections with the 13 LIV Golf teams to help tell their beyond-the-ropes stories and promote their initiatives.
- Provide stories promoting the impact programs from a League perspective and the team level.
- Supply content to support successful projects across LIV Golf departments, including charity, ticketing, apparel, event presentation and other key areas and business objectives.
- Furnish content in other League areas and on various content platforms as needed.
- Support Editorial, Communications and Digital initiatives as needed.
