LIV Health is hiring for a PRN (as needed) Medical Assistant to join our Mental Health Urgent Care Clinic in Cheyenne.
Job description
Seeking a motivated, dedicated Medical Assistant to work on our mental health team and with our psychiatric providers. We are looking for someone with experience, medical knowledge, good time management skills, and knowledge of OSHA standards in sterilization and disinfection. This position will be part of our Mental Health Team.
Hours of work include:
- Clinic Hours: 9am to 7pm Monday to Saturday
Qualifications include:
- at least one year of medical assistant experience
- a current BLS certificate
- must be a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
Job Duties: This position is responsible for patient flow and the needs of the providers.
Clinical Assistants are an extension of the providers and assist with clinical and administrative tasks related to the needs of the patient.
Duties Include:
- Preparing patients for appointments, updating medical history
- Recording vitals
- Recording current medications and allergies
- Clean and prepare patient rooms, including connecting and maintaining remote appointment equipment
- Answering phone calls, scheduling and coordinating psychiatric appointments and medication refills
- Labs draws and coordination of labs, including documentation of results
- Obtaining medical records
- Assisting providers and patients with needs while in the clinic
Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Salary : $17 - $24
