We are looking for a dynamic and personable Medical Assistant/Administrative Assistant to join our team and support both clinical and administrative operations.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and detail-oriented professional who excels in both patient care and administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the practice while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant Duties:
- Greet and prepare patients for their appointments with warmth and professionalism
- Take and record vital signs, patient history, and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist the physician with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer vaccinations, intramuscular injections, and phlebotomy as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
Administrative Duties:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Handle new-patient onboarding and patient check-in/check-out processes
- Manage patient communications, including appointment reminders and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation
- Assist with other administrative office tasks as needed
- Help implement policy changes around the office
- Attend community marketing events
Qualifications & Skills:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in both clinical and administrative roles in a medical office setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with a warm and personable demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, computers, and office software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism

This position is currently offered as a part time position (20 to 25 hours per week) with the flexibility to set your own hours. There is the opportunity to move up to full time if desired.
