JOB TITLE : Solar Business Developer REPORTS TO : President TRAVEL : Remote option available FLSA : Non-Exempt GENERAL JOB SUMMARY The Civil Solar Business Developer will build long-standing relationships and strengthen existing relationships with EPCs resulting in new and repeat business. The position will also support the solar team in a variety of functions, primarily before project award. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Track record of B2B sales within the commercial solar space. Understanding civil construction practices, a plus, but not required. Working knowledge of Microsoft suite, with emphasis on word, outlook, excel and PowerPoint. Effective communicator; comfortable initiating conversations with potential leads and keeping internal team abreast of BD activity. Professional representative of the company, with business attire and demeanor appropriate for the position. Comfortable with business negotiations. Able to visit remote sites periodically. Organized and capable for tracking BD budget effectively. Always follows up with potential leads and other tasks.
