What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Assistant position at Live Oak Oral Surgery of Texas?
Our great team is seeking an oral surgery assistants (Monday-Friday) who love this specialty as long term members of our expanding team. This practice engages in all facets of oral surgery including extractions, dental implants, pathology as well as some trauma and orthognathic procedures. Compensation is hourly commensurate with education and applicable experience.
Oral surgery clinical experience required along with the following:
Current CPR/BLS, sterilization, assist with treatment planning and patient education, chairside assisting, sedated patient recovery, digital x-rays/cone beam CTs, Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), data entry skills, and coordination with referral offices. Dental permit or eligible for oral surgery permit in Texas required. This position requires critical thinking, organizational skills, strength in written and verbal communication, team play, and basic math skills. EMR experience required and DAANCE preferred.
