What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Live Oak Veterinary Neurology?
Live Oak Veterinary Neurology is seeking a full time Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a growing and progressive veterinary specialty practice with expertise in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. We have two board certified Neurologists on site and work with a board certified Cardiologist every 6 weeks. We emphasize culture and a positive work environment for our staff. As a Veterinary Technician at Live Oak Veterinary Neurology you will learn about neurological diseases, anesthesia, surgery, and how to run an MRI.
Some requirements for this position include;
-Blood draws
-Placing IV catheters in multiple locations
-Intubation & extubation
-Setting up x-ray and taking radiographs
-Troubleshoot and maintain anesthesia
-Critical care monitoring
-Proper and effective animal restraint
-Able to lift objects or pets of at least 30lbs
-Strong communication skills
-Must be able to work well within a team
-Responsible and reliable
-Has compassion for clients, patients and team members
Pay and Benefits
- $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
