Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of patients through effective monitoring and assistance.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Assist nursing staff in various tasks within hospital or assisted living environments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support patients in understanding their treatment plans and provide education on health management.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, home community care, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of patient care protocols and medication administration procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality caregiving services.
- Familiarity with medical systems for recording vital signs and patient information is advantageous.
- Certification as a Medical Technician or relevant training in caregiving is preferred but not required.
