Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of medical systems. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications as directed
- Perform routine tests and procedures, such as EKGs and phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of medical equipment and supplies
- Follow established protocols and procedures for infection control and safety measures
- Provide support in various clinical settings, including hospitals, memory care facilities, and other healthcare facilities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic patient care principles
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
