The Assistant Production Supervisor is to assist the Production Supervisor in the operation and processing of the feed mill. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following facets of the operation and mixing of feed, depending on the individual’s location:

Qualifications
Position Summary
The Assistant Production Supervisor is to assist the Production Supervisor in the operation and processing of the feed mill. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following facets of the operation and mixing of feed, depending on the individual’s location:
Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee operational processes of the feed mill.
- Lead all necessary training for production/processing/trucking personnel at the feed mill.
- Assist with Preventative Maintenance programs and all equipment maintenance with production/processing and maintenance teams. This includes production and delivery equipment.
- Perform daily med logs for production team.
- Assist in selection and hiring of all hourly production personnel at facility.
- Ensure timely ordering and receiving of minerals for production and customer needs by communicating daily and weekly to the sales and procurement team.
- Ensure proper mixing of all feeds and load out of trucks.
- Assist in plant operations including mixing, loading, and unloading of products.
- Assist with production goals for efficiency and on time deliveries.
- Assist in coordinating feed delivery schedules with the Production Supervisor, and production team.
- Lead, educate, implement, and strictly enforce all LNC Safety and Compliance procedures and programs at the facility.
- Ensure the facility appearance and all personnel represent LNC in a professional manner.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong sense of Customer Service with both internal and external customers.
- Dedication to team environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast and ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead teams by example.
- Safety oriented mindset.
- Basic understanding of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) of Feed Manufacturing.
- Supervisor experience
- Feed mill experience
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Inventory management experience
- Safety knowledge/experience
