LBBC is hiring a Director of Digital Content to lead the planning, development, and implementation of LBBC’s digital content strategy. The Director leads the team in producing and publishing all aspects of the organization's content to help reach and engage new and existing audiences. This person will work in partnership with the Director, Marketing and Communications to develop and evolve a content marketing strategy to ensure consistency in themes and messaging. They will also work closely with Website Manager and staff across the organization to maintain website standards and prioritization regarding new content development.
LBBC is headquartered just outside Philadelphia in Bala Cynwyd, PA and is a hybrid workplace. This position can be fully remote, but priority will be given to candidates based in the Greater Philadelphia region. General working hours are 9am to 5pm Eastern with the flexibility to work outside of these hours as needed. Occasional travel is required to industry-related events and conferences as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Vice President, Content and Communication to create and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with LBBC’s organizational goals and target audiences.
- Partner with Director, Marketing and Communications to develop and implement a content marketing strategy to ensure consistency in themes and messaging.
- Direct all aspects of content development and execution on LBBC.org and other online platforms (e.g., YouTube and social media channels) in conjunction with a team of creative professionals.
- Ensure cross-departmental adherence to website standards, brand and style guidelines, and brand integrity.
- Track and analyze content performance metrics to inform and optimize strategies.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and adapt strategies as necessary.
- Develop and maintain an annual digital content budget. Lead a diverse team of staff, contractors, and freelance contributors, nurturing creativity and collaboration.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with marketing, and other teams support unified brand messaging and engagement efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field with 7-10 years experience
in strategic digital content planning and execution - Proven track record of leading and managing digital content teams
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills
- Experience in all digital content formats, including text, video, photography, graphics
- Skilled at managing teams of staff and external consultants
- Strong work ethic and drive with impeccable project management skills that maximize efficiencies and execution of content deliverables, and internal communications
- Knowledge of best practices in SEO and Google Analytics reporting
- Ability to travel domestically occasionally
The salary range for this position begins at $90,000 per year. LBBC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with organizational match, and paid time off.
