Job Description :
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned unit.
- Collect data relevant to the resident's physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis and communicate findings to RN and other members of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Contribute to creating a developmentally age-appropriate and culturally relevant plan of resident care, involving the resident / family and healthcare team, while promoting a healthy, safe environment.
- Recommend revisions to the plan of care after evaluating resident outcomes, indicating the need for referrals to ensure all aspects of the resident's care have been addressed.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice and participate in the mentoring / orientation of staff.
- Consider factors related to safety, cost, and impact in the planning and delivery of care. Provide leadership in the professional practice setting under the direction of the RN.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency. Tasks may involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens reasonably anticipated.
